| Photo courtesy of: Charles Penley. These Vietnamese children, who lived in Saigon, became my friends. The five girls lined up next to the tree were just like American children. The youngest was six and the oldest was twelve and were always together. On each trip that I made to Saigon, I made it a point to look them up, and give them each an orange or apple.
