  Everyone should have the Vietnam Service Medal (VSM) with a possible bronze or silver star on it.

  Everyone should also have the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal (RVNCM).  If not, ask for it.

  All they have to do is match up their dates of service with the awards shown above and if they were in the unit during those dates they are entitled to the unit awards listed for that period.  They should give the reference in AFP 900-2, Vol I or II and the page number, along with the Department of Air Force Special Order Number (DAFSO) shown above.
