Gentlemen, it is with sincere mixed emotion that I speak to you this morning.

While we're gathered here to honor our four men who died in defense of the base on 31 January.

I feel a keen sense of loss and I know you do, they were our friends, coworkers, and they were fine Security Policemen.

On the other hand I am filled with pride that I think of the job they had to do, the job they did and when I think of their gallantry and courage.

And finally, when I remember that when the chips were down, these men kept fighting and gave their lives that some of the rest of us are alive today on this air base.

In this sense, it is particularly the privilege that we are gathered here by 051 bunker to honor the memories of Sgts Fisher, Mills, Hebron, and Cyr.

For it's here that they made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of the base and our common goals of freedom and liberty.

And you will remember that many of you gentlemen standing here risk your lives for the same goals.

If I have learned nothing else in the past few difficult weeks, it's one thing that each one of you, as a member of this squadron, had you been here, you would have done no less.

At this time I think we should pause in silence and remember the heroic sacrifice from four members of our squadron.

May God bless Sgts Fisher, Mills, Hebron, and Cyr and God bless you all, gentlemen.
