Airman First Class Jones had a rededication here Friday, Oct 5, 2012.
Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the St. Paul United Methodist Church for Airman First Class Bruce Dale Jones who died while on duty with the U. S. Air Force in Southeast Asia on March 09, 1971.
An Air Force Chaplain officated in the services. Burial was in Rabb Cemetery with Unity Burial Service Directing.
Airman Jones was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Jones, born in Evergreen on January 14, 1952. He enlisted in the Air Force immediately after graduating from Thurgood Marshall High School in May 1970.
In addition to his parents, survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Geraldine Maxey of the Phillippine Islands and Mrs. Addie B. Westry of Mobile; two brothers, Richard Edward Jones, Mobile, Robert Earl Jones, Evergreen, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
