BROOKS --- Roy D. Brooks, Jr., 64, a resident of Albuquerque since 1974, died sunday, June 25, 1995.

He is survived by his stepfather, James Turnang of St Louis, Missouri; stepsister, Marjorie Louise Brown of Ontario, California, cousin Erlene M. Washington and husband James of St Louis, Missouri; cousin and godson, Jared W. Washington of St Louis, Missouri and aunt, Elva L. Strange and husband Elmer W. of St Louis Missouri.

Mr Brooks was an outstanding athlete in the St Louis public schools and received a four year schlorship to attend Morris-Brown College in Atlanta, Georgia.

He was also an Eagle Scout.

Mr Brooks served with the USAF for 24 years during the Korean Conflict and Vietnam.

He retired as a policeman University of New Mexico in 1992.

Services will be held Thursday, at 6 p.m. at French Mortuary, University Blvd., Chapel 1111 University Blvd. NE.

Interment of cremains will take place Monday at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.

Friends may visit French Mortuary 1111 University Blvd., NE, Wednesday from 5:00 till 9:00 p.m.
