Paul Z. Cushman of Mashpee, formerly of Kingston, died April 30, 2015, after a brief illness.
Son of the late George W. Cushman and Doris I. (Borden) Cushman, he was the beloved husband of Lucy V. (Stein) Cushman; father of George T. Cushman and his wife Jennifer of Kingston, Christopher C. Cushman and his wife Charlotte of Port Royal, S.C., Howard A. Cushman and his wife Nancy of Halifax.
He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and was predeceased by granddaughter Ellie. L. Cushman. Paul was a graduate of Silver-Lake Regional High School in Kingston, Class of 1962.
He was a member of the U.S. Air Force.
He served at F. E. Warren in Cheyenne, Wyo., Tan Son Nhut Airbase Saigon, VN, and Bangor, Maine, International Airport.
He served 4+ years before being honorably discharged.
He was a member of the Kingston Police Department and Plymouth County Sheriffs Department.
Paul was a life member for 49 years of Cornerstone Lodge A.F and A.M.; serving as Master (1981-1982).
He was a life member of Scottish and York Rites and the Aleppo Temple Shrine.
Also, he was a member of the Plymouth Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star.
Paul enjoyed spending time outdoors, hunting, fishing, and archery.
He enjoyed watching the Bruins and Red Sox and spending time with his family.
Funeral service Tuesday, May 5, at 11 a.m. in the Silver Lake Chapel, 33 Lake Street, Plympton.
Visiting hours in the Cartmell Funeral Home, 150 Court St., Plymouth, Monday from 4 to 7 p.m.
Burial in Evergreen Cemetery in Kingston.
