SGT Derrill Wadsworth Dickerson, 64, a wonderful man, husband for over 41 years, father to two beautiful children, grandfather to two beautiful granddaughters and a friend to everyone he met, was taken from his family and friends on Sept. 9, 2012.
He is survived by his amazing wife, Noreen Dickerson; mother, Dorothy Dickerson; wonderful son, Christopher; daughter, Dawn; two beautiful granddaughters, Austyn Dawn, 17, and AnnaBella Dawn, 11; daughter-in-law, Melanie; son-in-law, Mark; and his two loving dogs, Harley and Sophie.
Preceded in death by father, Donald Wadsworth Dickerson; and brother, David Wadsworth Dickerson. Born to Donald and Dorothy Dickerson on Feb. 2, 1948, in Teaneck, N.J.
He loved spending time with his family, playing with his granddaughters, riding his motorcycle with his son through the beautiful countryside in Oregon, talking history with his daughter and waking up every morning to know he was traveling with his lifelong partner of 41 years.
You will be missed and are so very loved. Memorial service, 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 23, 2012, at Veterans Memorial Wall (Eagle) in Pueblo West.
