Obituary Notice

James L. Pageau, age 74, of Hale, MI, passed away at his home on, Wednesday, January 29, 2020.

He was born on September 20, 1945 in Detroit, MI to Dallard & Eleanor (Mailloux) Pageau.

He graduated from Osborn High School.

James married Cheryl Lawrence June 19, 2010.

Mr. Pageau served in the US Air Force from 1964-1968.

He was stationed in Saigon, Viet Nam and Wurtsmith Air Force Base in Oscoda, MI.

After his military service, he spent his career in automobile and truck sales in Detroit.

James was a member of the American Legion Post #422 in Hale and the VFW Post #5678 in Tawas, and the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Hale.

Mr. Pageau enjoyed travelling, playing cards and various games and studied anything dealing with the military, hunting, fishing and camping.

He was a friend to all and never knew a stranger.

James is survived by his wife, Cheryl Lawrence of Hale; son, Jeff (Michelle) Pageau of NC; daughter, Jill Pageau of St. Clair Shores, MI; daughter, Dawn Brown of Hale, MI; son, Robert (Dee) Nehr of Roseville, MI; grandchildren; Mallaury Pageau, Claire Pageau, Jaidyn Pageau, Maryiah Wright, Robert Nehr, Jr., and Alec Nehr; many nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister and 3 brothers.

Per family wishes, Mr. Pageau was cremated and a memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2020 at 2:00 PM at the Hale American Legion Post #422, 429 West Main in Hale.

Inturnment will take place at the Great Lakes National Cemetery at a date to be determined.
