Master Sergeant David P. "Scotty" Scott, Sr. U.S. Air Force (Ret.), age 74, of Greenwich Drive, passed away Thursday, January 26, 2017 at his residence.

Mr. Scott was born in Toronto, Ohio, a son of the late Charles Victor and Dorothy Flo Scott.

He was a Retired Master Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force with 22 years of service where he served honorably in the Vietnam War.

After his military career, he worked many years as a Police Officer with the City of Myrtle Beach, the Horry County Police Department and the Horry County Sheriff's Office.

Mr. Scott was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police, Coastal Carolina Chapter # 12, the American Legion Post # 111, the V.F.W. and the Paralyzed Veterans of America.

He was a member of First Baptist Church in Conway the Forever 39 Sunday School Class and was formerly involved in the Men's Fellowship.

Surviving are his wife of 26 years, Francein Anderson Scott, six children, Ravonda Floyd, Kathy Mauldin (Clayton), and Michelle Thompson (Scott), all of Conway, Cheryl Phillips (Nick) of Myrtle Beach, Robin Oierud (Sven) of Clover, SC and Gene Kicklighter (Rebecca) of Wilson, NC, one sister, Margie Brown of East Liverpool, OH, one brother, Charles "Sonny" Scott of Toronto, OH, ten grandchildren, Caitlyn, Brandon, Nathan, Eli, Hannah, Kristen, Shandi, Perry, Trevor and Savannah.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM Sunday at First Baptist Church of Conway with Rev. Patrick Jones officiating.

Burial with full Military Honors will be held in Hillcrest Cemetery directed by Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM until 1:30 PM Sunday in the church parlor.
