Glen Trammel, 63, of Cabot went to be with his Lord and Savior on Oct. 12. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his family. He loved to bowl, fish, hunt and travel in his RV. He was a retired truck driver and an Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War.
He was born Nov. 11, 1948 in Bowling Green, Ky., to the late Thurman Trammel Jr. and Viola Phipps Trammel. He made Arkansas his home for the last 26 years.
Glen is survived by his loving wife, Shirley Gilpin Trammel, of Cabot; his daughter, Jackie Jenkins and her husband Dewayne; his son, Jason Glen Trammel and his wife Sandy, and nine grandchildren, Adam Sherwin, Alexandria and Megan Bartley, Tristan, Logan Glen, Riley Jason and Brady Chase Trammel, Cameron “CW” and Evan Jenkins.
Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 18 at Moore’s Cabot Funeral Home. The funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 19 at the funeral home, with burial following at noon in Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock. Bro. Larry Childers will officiate the services.
