"THE WRECKERS" WIN BY A SMALL MARGIN:

With the superb thinking of Walker (The Center) on each jump ball, The Wreckers gained the tip at the beginning of the game and again at the tip off of the second half, subsequently gaining two points each time but each time "The machines" came back with baskets from the hot hands of Big Mushgrove and Leaping Lowe with the back-to-back 30 foot jumpers.

(The Machines' back court Aces.) Big Bill Saunders (One of the Wreckers' back court Aces) came through after that with back-to-back three pointers.

The Machines went down and blew a shot and on a fast break, led by Morris and Stephen collected two points. Lowe for the Machines on the bring down, fumbles and there's a turn over and Mills (the other back court Ace for the Wreckers) lead a fast break for two points. The Machines on the attack again, Lowe blows a 30 footer, Hamilton rebounds, the Wreckers attack and Bill Saunders connects for two and drew a foul, converts for a seven point lead.

The Machine checked up and they trade baskets for awhile, then Hopper of the Machines Draws a three point play on a drive, then in comes, Webb (Bugs and Wolfe from the Machines' bench with a play from Coach Steele, that drew an under the basket foul after the shot by Reno and Wolfe converts for three points. That left the Wreckers up by one.

With 46 seconds left to play with, the Machines with the ball out of bounds, on the throw-in, Stephens steals the ball and leads the fast break for two more points, then went into a full court press, the Wreckers stole the ball again and with just 09 seconds left in the game, they froze it, and iced the game to a 33-30 victory.

Other players not mentioned but played an important role in the team's win were:

Chambers, Stevenson, Amerson, Weeks, McKissen, Denzie and Washington. Says Coach Skipper Jones and his Top Advisor (Injured Player Tony,) "We're very pleased with the outcome of the game, however, the Wreckers showed good basketball skill and tactics but started tiring long before the Machines, he also

admitted that coach Steele had him worried in the last five minutes of the game but Coach Jones refused to discuss the faults he thought Coach Steele made, he stated, "Coach Steele might be a Rookie to the coaching field but he has much more court experience than any other individual on this base and this I must respect. But if he continue's to coach in the future, he's going to make a superp coach. He will be leaving soon and we wish him the best of luck. It is suspected at Big Alston (Machine's Center) will take over the coaching job for Steele and if his coaching talent is half as good as his playing, he just might end up Coach-Player of the Year. The Wreckers look forward to their next meeting.
