Photo courtesy of:  Chuck Henry The first person to give the alert during the Dec 4-5, 1966 Attack on Tan Son Nhut, was A2C George Michael Bevich, Jr.  ( It is regret that I must report that A2C Bevich died of his wounds, along with his sentry dog.) (A2C Bevich was the first USAF Sentry Dog Handler who died in Vietnam.) The Quick Reaction Team vehicle, shown above, was destroyed by an enemy round.
