As I mentioned, we arrived Dec 29, 1961 and since they were not ready for us, we went to various hotels in Saigon.  For the next 18 days we climbed on board trucks early each morning and went out to Tan Son Nhut to do many things.  One of the principle things was to build the pallet "floors," for the tents to be erected on.  I must admit that we probably built them very securely, very properly but definitely VERY SLOWLY!
