On Jan 31, 1968, at approximately 0320 hours, the base chapel received an enemy 122mm rocket.   The church burned completely to the ground.  This photograph was taken in March 1968 and the only thing left of the church is the concrete pad.  On this same spot they built the new chapel.  The white building in the left background is building 109, Officers Quarters.
