PARTY A party for "A" Flight Security was given on the Security Police Patio which commenced at 1500 hours, 21 Apr 68. The Committeemen responsible for making appropriate party arrangements consisted of TSgt's Bragg, Jacobs, Macado, and SSgt Stanford. This committee assisted by a host of flight volunteers had the responsibility to clean up, entertainment arrangments, chow preparations and numerous miscellaneous duties. A successful flight gathering could only be enjoyable with the cooperation and interest in everyone concerned. Success is only mentioned here in open terms, for we of "A" Flight Security realize, each of us were key fighures in making the latest affair an enjoyable event. During our gathering, musical entertainment was provided by The Invaders, supplemented by dance and song stylists, Ida and Cora Gutierbez. The entertainment group were highly complemented on an excellent performance well pleased by the entire audiance. Upon completion of their well appreciated performance at the Patio, the Band had another routine engagement at the NCO Club which was scheduled subsequent to our unit affair. Hats off to the Band and Vocalist for we wish you a speedy return engagement as soon as possible. The chow and added ingredients lasted throughout the party although the smell of fresh meat invited disinterested guests. Most of us ate to our full capacity and food lasted until the party ended. An estimated 150 pounds of meat and 31 cases of beer were consumed, leaving everyone in good spirit for a good nights rest. To mention the party as a whole, we can't forget a sucessful flight gathering is centered around each of you and we the committee, know you will continue to make each and every flight or squadron celebration an entertainment challenge. It is also desireous of the committee that sufficient flight volunteers are committed to assist in preparation of the many things required to make a well deserving get-together. Last but not least, the 21st affair was one to be remembered and similiar occassions are to be expected. |
All suggestions or comments on past and future gatherings are solicited. In closing, I would like to say again we, the committee enjoyed the celebration and from a Bird's Eye view, believe each person attending the occassion, shares the same opinion. We certainly hope to sponsor future parties and definately desire to continue enjoying so much for so little. NEW IDEAS A metal rack is being installed under the seat of all SAT vehicles.
