Dear Hap What is your opinion on a man having a morning eye opener and a bracer around 10 A.M. and a couple of drinks before lunch, and a few beers on a hot afternoon to keep a man healthy and happy and a few drinks at cocktail hour and a man can't be criticized for having wine with dinner, a liquor afterwards and a highball or two during the evening. Suds Dear Suds: Have a few drinks if you are over 21, on your day off and 8 hours prior to duty. Hap. Dear Hap: I have been confused lately about a certain Vietnamese Girl. I love her to much, but she won't let me take her home or she won't go to a hotel. My question is this; "Should I go to the trouble of renting a room and taking a chance on her going with me, or should I go to a bar, get drunk, and find another girl?" Wondering Dear Wondering: The big question is, does the girl give you the idea that she cares for you. If she doesn't there isn't much sense in renting a room. However, if she seems interested it may be worth a try, after all it's only money. Hap. |
Dear Hap: A good friend of mine took me to Saigon and introduced me to a Chinese Girl. He said with this girl I had nothing to worry about. Now I have been sidelined for 30 days. What do you think of a friend like this? Sidelined Dear Sidelined: Don't judge a book by it's cover and most of all keep your friend away from me. Loose Talk Recently during the noon meal at Dinning Hall #2, a couple of our tough "Light Infantry," Security Policemen were overheard discussing new weapons and defensive positions employed by the 377th SPS. Although their conversation was common knowledge within the squadron, it probably never occurred to these individuals that just maybe, one of the waitresses within the dinning hall, was listening to their conversation. To carry this story a little further suppose this waitress was sympathetic with the local VC Forces. Although the information was meaningless to these individuals, it and other information or should we say bits of loose talk can be put together by the trained enemy agent and turned into vital intelligence knowledge which can be used against us or our allies, Watch Your Tongue.
